Angel Pena Quintal. I was born in Mexico. I am 29 years old. I studied my Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the Autonomous University of Yucatan (Mexico), on 2014. After completing my studies, I started a job as a research assistant at the Scientific Research Center of Yucatan being part of the Polymeric Materials Department. On October 2015, I started my master’s degree at the University of Seville (Spain), the program’s name is Electronics, signal processing and communications which I completed on April 2017. My master’s thesis was mainly focused on Off-shore wind farms and control strategies for HVDC systems interconnected. After finishing my master’s degree, I started to work as a Research Technician in the Renewable Energy Department at the Scientific Research Center of Yucatan from 2017 to 2018. In 2019 I worked as an Adjunct Professor at the Polytechnic University of Yucatan.
Research in the Etopia project:
I am researching about the optimization and modelling techniques of distribution systems with variable loads and sources. The harmonics in power and communication systems play an important role for the reliability of modern interconnected systems.
